How to translate your MSDS?

In order to meet our quality standards, we apply a strict translation procedure involving the following steps:

  • project analysis
  • research & documentation
  • compiling/updating multilingual terminology lists
  • translation
  • quality assurance procedures
  • preparation for final delivery

Workflow Details

Each project is assigned to a project manager (PM) who, in collaboration with the client, outlines the project specifications. The PM then forwards all instructions to the best suited translator, based on the content, the client's schedule and particular requirements

Analysis and identification of your MSDS project: After identification of the hazardous product in question, we gather or retrieve the necessary documentation to allow us to deliver an accurate translation of your MSDS. Special attention goes to:

  • applying the formal conventions
  • identifiying possible problems
  • applying the most cost-effective methods and procedures
  • keeping the client informed on progress
  • respecting the budget and timescale agreed upon

Each completed project undergoes an internal audit to ensure compliance with the customer's textual and technical instructions.

A quality assurance team composed of the translator and a proofreader doubly ensures that the final product meets our quality standards. Each translation is re-checked and validated by a senior translator or language supervisor, before final delivery to client.

We have translated hundreds of MSDS's into all major European languages, including English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Polish, and Turkish.

Updating the multilingual content of your MSDS

Translating your MSDS implies regularly updating its content in all languages supported. Our method allows to provide fast and cost-effective updates on an as-needed basis.

We assign a project manager who performs this otherwise time-consuming task for you. The use of state-of-the-art translation memory tools allows us to timely and cost-effectively update the content of your MSDS. This is because your MSDSs are mirrored on our systems. Every time you need to update a particular MSDS, you can just send an e-mail to your project manager stating the page(s) that has/have been updated. The updated content will be sent to you in the correct delivery format.
